"It is with heavy heart and profound sadness that I must acknowledge that my friend, Clyde "Gawdzilla" Day Jr., passed away suddenly on November 5th, 2021. Clyde was such an important part of the original City of Heroes "crew," and one that I was fortunate enough to meet in person as we all gathered in Ohio that summer, so long ago now. Clyde was kind enough to share his experiences with MMOs with all of us, some painful and some funny. The documentary, the story told within it, wouldn't have had anywhere near as great an impact without Clyde's honesty and his willingness to pass along the lessons online gaming taught him.

I was able to travel from Michigan to Kentucky to attend the memorial service, which was held on Thursday, November 11th, 2021. Clyde's partner, Dave, set up a beautiful, and truly fitting, display to celebrate Clyde's life. The pictures I took are linked below, full-sized when clicked on, so that those who could not attend can see the love Clyde inspired and the multitude of amazing memories we have of him.
